Almost Over....
The second day of finals is offically over. I took my College Algebra exam this morning and felt great. I did all of the question. I only had trouble with one of the no calculator question about Matrices. After that College Algebra test, I also tried to do the Calculus Mid-Term. I got about 1/3 of it done, thus I'm going to finish it next Tuesday (test make-up day). Double math exams are not pratical at all.... Anyway, besides the math exams, I took my Psychology AP Mid-Term yesterday and found out that I aced it. Other than that, I am looking forward to Monday. Last 2 finals of the year! (Actually I also have to finish my Calculus Test which would make it 3).

Christmas is Coming!
Christmas is coming and I am stressing out over the upcoming finals. Last week was not stressful at all however. We were suppose to have Community Partnership Day last Wednesday, but it turned out that we had a two hour delayed--so, CPD was canceled as a result of that. The Lock Haven trip was also canceled, but it did not affected me because I did not want to go anyway. Taekwondo is fun as usual. We have not done conditioning workouts for 2 weeks already, so it's bad but at the same time good for me--I'm glad because conditioning workouts are seriously (no I am serious) painful! I can never breathe afterward whenever we do conditioning. Anyway, that's all for last week.

Yearbook Progress
We are really behind on the completion of the first 60 pages of the yearbook. This is mostly due to the delayed of the class pictures. It has been a month and we have yet to receive the class pictures until last week. Once we received the pictures, Mr. Oneal had to send it to Herff Jones for proofs. The marking period is going to end in about 2 weeks. Thus, we have roughly around a week and a half to finish 60 pages of the yearbook. We do not even have half of the 60 pages done yet :( This is so stressful!

We're BEHIND!!
This is bad...We turned in 13 completed yearbook pages as opposed to the planned 60 pages two weeks ago. Each person is supposed to be responsible for 6 pages, but it looks like that did not happen. I'm a bit furious right now. We're not trying hard enough. Even though the the students' pictures are not in yet, we could at least get all the layouts and designs ready. I have seen some layouts, and all I can say to myself is "you can do better than that." Some of the people are not doing what they are supposed to do and they need to realize that we need to get it done. And stop doing homework from other classes and focus on the yearbook. It's disrespectful. Not only to the class, but also to the people that are doing what they are supposed to do. Anyway, that's all I want to say.

Last Week Update! (Week 13)
I AM SO EXCITED! I'm not sure if this is education related or not, but I passed my driver test and got my license on Friday! Other than that, it was a normal week. I did not have to write any essay for Mr. Labarre. Well, that's mostly because he did not give the class any prompt to write...As for Calculus, it's challenging, but doable. The class is going to have a test before Thanksgiving break. So I have to study...Anyway, I forgot to write my blog for last week and it's currently "missing" on Eschool. So mainly, this blog is to fill in for last week.

Last Week Update!!!!!
I got to chance to visit Penn State University last Wednesday. I had a good time and it was a nice experience. First of all, the college is HUGE! Second of all, the food was great! I get to eat pretty much all I wanted. It was a all-you-can-eat buffet. Beside the great food, I met a friend of mine who is currently attending at Penn State University. She shared a lot of her experiences so far at the college and gave me a lot of good advice on how to survive in college. Overall, it was a great week.

Update From Last Week!
We are making progress on the yearbook. It's coming along well. As for the newspaper, Ayo and I had to stayed after school until 5 PM to publish the paper. It was hectic! Also, we did not even have enough articles to put the newspaper. We made it fit, fortunately enough. Other than that, it was a great week. Taekwondo has been great so far. I have learned a lot of different techniques. Additionally, I pretty much dressed down the whole week. Oh, senior project and college applications are driving me nuts!!!

Anyway.....
I keep forgetting to write my weekly blog for Digital Memories class. Anyway, Taekwondo started last week. It was held on Tuesday and Thursday for about an hour each. So far, so great. My legs were sore afterward, but I felt GREAT! As for my classes, last week was the "last week" of the first marking period. I have all A's. Awesome. It was a struggle trying to get an A in Mr. Labarre's class. I revised almost all of the essays that I considered "bad" throughout these first few months. As a result, a 94% in the class.

Last Week Update!
So we published our school newspaper last Thursday and apparently, we did not do a good enough job on the editing part. The editors, including myself, slacked off and did not proof read all the articles thoroughly enough. Nevertheless, it was not entirely our fault. Articles were coming in late for some reason and me, Kathy and Ayo did not have enough time to proof read everything. So we just focus on putting in the articles without having the articles edited. The class is going to try to get all the articles done and proofread before Thursday for more flexibility. As for the yearbook, I have made a really cool cover and we've decided to use it for the yearbook cover itself.

So...
I took my SAT yesterday--it went well. Although, I think this may be my last time taking it. College applications deadline is toward the middle or end of November and so I want to finish all of my applications and send those in early for early decisions. They have to have all of my information, including SAT score, to make those decisions. Once I receive my score, I will send it to them. With the yearbook, newspaper and college applications--this is definitely going to be a busy year. Speaking of yearbook, our team only got the ladder done. If I'm right, we have about another three weeks to get the first 60 pages done. Tight schedule, indeed.

Last Week Update
Last week was a breeze. I did not have to write any essay for the entire week. Mr.LaBarre kind of gave us a break. This week however, I will definitely have essays to write for that English class. The newspaper turned out great. We did not have enough articles so we spent a lot of time editing the layout to make it fit. As for Psychology, Mr. Varano gave us a bunch of work over the weekend. It took me roughly 6 hours to do all of the questions for chapter 13. Well, I was also watching football while doing it and that was probably why it took so long for me to do it.

End of September!
October is coming and I need to get started on my college applications. I've been holding it back these past 2 weeks and I think I have to get everything done by the end of October. Anyway, this week has been great. We did not have to write any essays for Mr. LaBarre's English class. Overall, I did not have a lot of homework this week. I have also signed up for the Taekwondo class and I think it will be starting soon. October is going to be a busy month for me. Oh, the yearbook team have to get the first 60 or 70 pages done by the end of October. So, it's going to be a busy month indeed.

Mid September Update!
It has been a great week so far. No quiz or test in Calculus. I had a test in computer repair on Monday and aced it. Mr. LaBarre have been given out a lot more essay this week. I just got done with one essay 3 hours ago and I'm probably going to start on my next essay tomorrow. The essays are annoying, but I know that it is for my own good. It's good preparation for college, so I'm going to have to deal with it. I received a brand new laptop from Dr. Archer on Tuesday. Dr. Archer promised the top 2 people a brand new laptop if they pass the John Hopkins Engineering Exam. I was one of the top 2 people who passed the John Hopkins Engineering exam and so I got the laptop. The laptop is really nice (I'm using it to write this blog right now). Anyway, that's all I have for this week update.

FTC Kickoff!
So, I had a chance to go to The College of New Jersey for the FIRST tech challenge's kickoff event today. It was great. This year robotics challenge is called "Hot Shot!" Basically, we have to build a robot that can pick up 3 inches balls and shoot those balls to baskets in order to earn points. That's just an overview of the game. Mr. Steps will be getting the necessary documents for the game today. After that, the Scibots team is going to start brainstorming and building the robot for upcoming competition.
My weekdays however, were hectic. I did not even watch TV this week. No wait, let me correct myself. I mean that I did not even have time to watch TV. I had 2 quizzes and a test in my math classes. I had an essay that was due yesterday night. And darn it, I think I missed the season premier of Supernatural on Thursday....
Other than that, it was a good week!

The Third Week of School is almost over!
So far, the week has been great! The team published our first newspaper last Friday and it turned out nice. I've been hearing a lot of compliment from my classmates and so I am feeling really good about it. I also aced my Calculus AP quiz that I took last Thursday. Unfortunately though, I have to take another Calculus AP quiz tomorrow... Anyway, Mr. Oneal had a chance to talk to one of the Yearbook publisher this week and started to set up deadlines for the Yearbook. The team have to complete at least 36 pages by early November. We are shooting for 50 pages by November and roughly around 150 pages total for the yearbook. We have a lot of work to do!

The End of the Second Week!
So, it's getting near the end of the week and the SciTech Digital Memories class is about to publish their first school newspaper! The team has been writing, researching events and interviewing people to get stories for our first newspaper. It's working out great so far. We have all the articles (clubs, school news, current events, gossip, etc.) that are needed to be put on the paper. The layout has already been made and ready to be used. It's going to get publish early tomorrow morning. I'm excited! Aside from the newspaper, I'll have my first quiz of the year in advance placement Calculus tomorrow, and so -- I'm going to sleep...

The Start of Something New....
Some of you readers who are reading right now might be wondering what I mean by "The start of something new." Well, I am writing my first blog today and this is the first time I've ever written a blog, thus considering this is the start of something new. Surprisingly though, this is not just a start of something new, but in fact, different as the same time because of the simple fact that this year SciTech Yearbook is actually going to be a physical book. I was voted as the editor-in-chief for the yearbook and I am very fortunate to be part of the 2009-2010 SciTech yearbook members. I can't wait to starting working!
